Beaver Meeting for Parents on 6.9.17

A special meeting regarding the Beaver Section for 2017/18 will take place in the Scout Hall on Wednesday 6th September 2017 at 8pm (directly after the AGM).

The Beaver Scouts (Ages 6 to 9) is our most popular section and we require 4 to 6 adults to operate these sections.  The commitments is one weekly meeting (during school terms) which is approximately an hours and a half.  Some planning with other leaders in the section on a monthly basis (approx. on hour) and a approx. six outdoor events though-out the year, typically on a Saturday or Sunday, plus one overnight/camping event.

No prior scouting experience is necessary, as training will be provided, however prior experience as a scout would be useful.  A team of leaders is more beneficial as it allows to spread the planning and organising of meeting nights and events and also allows for flexibility in attendance.

It is expected that the Beaver section number will be limited to a maximum of 20 in 2017/18, however there is a significant waiting list and if a second section can be opened, this will allow for further sharing of activities.
